Surprised about 4afe performance

I had an 86 gts about three years ago and loved it until I was forced to sell and now my daily driver is a 91 corolla. I am so surprised on how peppy it is more so on the hiway, the little shit loves to rev. The car at 180 feels like it wants more and at times I think it can and reving at 5 grand. Any little things to help it out more? or mabe a 4agze swap. Oh well lovin it, not to mention the gas milage

take it easy don't get into to much trouble. breathing stuff will help a bit, like exhaust, intake, otherwise a good tune-up. If your looking for more look at the swaps i will try to post some options when i get a chance

If you're planning to swap, I wouldnt waste money on mods.
If you plan to mod, forget the swap and modify with deep pockets.

the car can do at least 200, thats the fastest I got it going before some stupid bitch cut me off, hard to stop when your going that fast lol. You have to keep it in 4th until 6300 rpm then shove it into 5th and it will keep climbing. I find if you put it in 5th earlier it will climb up to 180 and just stop... and hey you live REALLY close to me.

I had an NSX following me at 190km/h a couple of months ago, my exit was getting very close so I had to slow down and get on my lane. damn I miss the summer already.

I hit 205km/h with the 89, the 90 I've only had up to 190km/h so far.. will be long before I get to try top speed on it now, damn snow.

The 4A-FE respond pretty well to header and high flow exhaust.
My auto rev 6000 all day long.

I have been takin mine manual 4af to around 6500 - 7000 while driving around. The responce is alright, but there is about a second delay from when you hit the pedal, that might be because mine has a carb. But still not bad, doesn't take anything to get used to it.

Wait... you mean my SR5 can do more than 75mph?? lol

Once I had it up to 102mph, but that was going down a GIANT hill on the highway in VT. Sounded like the car was going to explode :p

this doesnt really apply to what ya'll are saying, but anyways, i got my 97' with a 4-afe up to "unleaded fuel only" which is past 110 mph. it was on a slight downslope, but nothin too serious. the only thing bad about going that fast is that you can see the gas gauge goin down as you drive lol

well 200km/h is 124 mph and that was on flat hwy, felt like it could have pulled out a little more but a small hill came up lol. didn't sound like it was going to die. Flashmn I thought your 4af was modified?
I also put premium in my car, the previous owner might have run it on premium because the car used to shake when I put regular into it. I am only the second owner
