vacuum hoses??

I'm ripping the blown engine from my '91 corolla to slap in a brandy new one I've bought on e-bay. I'm taking notes on some vacuum lines, but dang there's a lot of them babies!! For the ones that I get in a hurry and don't write anything down, how am I going to remember where they go?? The car is an auto, now do you get to the bolts that bolt the tranny to the motor?? how is the motor going to come away from the tranny when its up against the body on the passenger side??

This isn't going well I'm afraid...

I'd get this done if I was you.. doesn't sound like you're mechanically inclined enough to do something this big.

I have a lot of experience on musclecars and carburetor stuff. I took SOME notes. If I run into trouble with the vacuum lines I'll call my buddy who has a corolla & see if he can talk me through it. Or else I'll look at my Camry.
Right now I'm waiting on a cherry-picker or come-along. Then I can clean the parts & put the new motor together a little before dropping it in.
I normally like to steamclean everything, but didn't get to this time. Can't see all the bolts that bolt the motor to the tranny.
Thanks,

Brad

Use the stick on wire markers that wrap around the wire which can be used on the hoses and ports. Or some variation of that. You maybe able to get them at Home Depot. 1-9 and/or A-Z in the electrical department. Then just reconnect the numbers and letters.

Thanks for the help guys. Sometimes you just get to anxious and start removing stuff. I'm going to label whats left and then I won't have a problem. Still need to buy an engine stand (maybe). Anyone think I can assemble a complete motor from a shortblock on the floor of the garage??
