Stuck in middle of coolant flush, help!

Everything went well until I tried to loosen the engine drain block on my 96 corolla, it is in a tight spot! I can hardly get a wrench in there, finally after using 2 extensions I got a 14mm on the drain plug but it barely budged. I am thinking it is because I tried to loosen when the block was hot? I am thinking I will wait until it cools overnight and try again. Any thoughts feedback would be appreciated please.

i doubt it matters if its warm or cold, id soak it down with penetrating oil good and let it sit before you try to budge it not good if you break it ...

if your trying to flush it out good take the thermostat out and put the housing back then feed a garden hose down the neck carefully then let it come out the top rad hose.. works decent to get sediment and crap outa there

Thanks 94 rolla, I was thinking the same thing, so I just soaked it for overnight with liquid wrench, I actually got it out aways so I have to figure something out. BTW that is a nice looking ride you got, makes me want to re-paint mine.

I am thinking that if I can't get it to go either way with the liquid wrench I may just put some JB Weld around the threads and leave it alone, lol!

Probably not a good idea though, so I will give it 12 hours and wrench away.

94 Rolla you have the same engine as I do, could you do me a favor, can you confirm that the drain plug is to the left of the oil fliter and it is a 14mm head? I ask only because before getting you reply I just tried to retighten, before liquid wrench, and I starting to round the head off the bolt! I would really appreciate it if you could. I am starting to lose faith in abilities, lol!
