Assume the worst, unless you know otherwise, have all the fluid changed and flushed out of that baby, oil, coolant, auto trans if so, brakes fluid too. This is the easiet way to keep your car running nicely. I have done so and have 164k or so on my corolla, it still runs strong and climbs the Rockies no problem. Also do a seafoam, search the site for instructions and check the plugs, wires, dist cap, rotor, you may even have points on that car. Belts, timing, drive you get the picture, check um or have them checked out but a trustworthy mechanic. Also might want to put some Berryman carb cleaner down the carb, my old tercel loved the stuff and it was cool see the fuel buildup go bye bye.
