USA 98-02 radio removal

Before I break out the hammer & crowbar, how do you get the dash center plastic cover off so I can install a new head unit?

I posted too soon. There's 2 tiny slots at the bottom seam where you can get a screw driver and pry the bottom loose first and the whole assembly pops out. Just installed a Pioneer DEH-P2600 head unit, same on I have in my Jeep. Major improvement for only $89 from eBay. Next is replacing the 4 speakers with DB650 Polk 6 1/2" speakers. No amp or subs. Classic rocker here that's requiring some clean sounds.

Try the manual from http://www.installdr.com

I used this manual to install mp3 player in my 99 corolla.
