uh-oh! wtf happened to my car?

I looked at my car today and saw that my car is unusually low on the drivers side. My dad told me that the stabalizer bar I have on my rear in the in side of my car poped off when he took it for a spin.

Can I fix this by just retightening the bolt that held the suspension in place to fix this?

Another thing that added to this problem was a flat tire in the front on the drivers side as well. I just refilled them with air 2 days ago. What happened to the tire. Did the valve go?

Maybe you got a blown tire? Or maybe it's the cold weather that caused it... it sometimes does it...
Do you have alloy wheels?
Try to clean them... i mean take the tires off and clean the inside...
The exact thing happen to my ES300 a few days back... took it to my mechanic and he told me that my tires are fine... but the part where the rims come in contact with the tires are dirty caused by the weather... so he took off my tires and showed me the dirty stuff... dunno what is it but you need to grind it off... he did it for me and it's fine now...
Hope that helps... :P

you can put the stabalizer back on if the bolt jus rusted off....if you think it was forced out....then take it to the garage to see any other damage in the suspansion.

as for the tire....you can check if there is an air leak by....taking off the tire...lay flat on the ground, take some water and pour it between the rim and the tire bead...you can use soapy water so the bubble can be more noticable... while you're doing that, check for cracks or nails on the side wall.

like 86B said...could be the dirt too.

if the stabalizer bar just "popped" off, thats not a good sign. stabalizer bars just don't "pop" off. they're torqued pretty tight at about 30 ft/lbs.

so if the afformentioned happened, it means that A) they weren't tightened propperly B) a rusty bolt got stripped in which case you're FUBAR but can be fixed by some ingenuity or C) your dad did some serious damage.

the tire i would accredit to either a slight leak or puncture. good tires just don't lose air for shits and giggles nor for cold weather

Talking about dads, my dad taught me how to grab the gutter... works damn well on ice, cause the gutter always has snow, so less slip
