Angry Passenger headlight is dim

Hey guys, I own a '05 corolla auto and I recently purcased a pair of 9006 silverstars for my lows, and i installed them and later that night I noticed that my passenger side is dimmer than my driver's side. I thought it was a bulb defect so i exchanged the passenger side for a new same silverstars, but the result was same. When parked in the garage, I notice my passenger side alignment noticeably lower than my driver's side, so I used the little grey knob to abjust the alignment. Now the alignment seems fine, but still the intensity of my passenger side light is less than my driver's side. It pisses me off because my car looks retarded with one bright as hell headlight and one not-so-bright headlight. What could have possibly go wrong during installation for this to happen? Bulb change couldn't be any easier and it took me like 2 mintutes to install them. Passenger side intallation was harder becasue the wires are very tight so i had to use some force to allow the wire to "snap" in the bulb. Maybe such force caused the alignment to go off, but yet this does not explain why it would be dimmer. I quite dont get the anology between off-alignment and dim light output. I am suspecting that passenger lights have longer wires (batteries are located on drivers'), which increases the resistance for the electric current to travel to the bulb, causing dimmer lighting. Anyone with silverstars exerience(d) this mystery? Should I just go back to stock bulbs? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I used to have an old Geo Metro POS that did the same thing. I think it's because the wires could be longer going to the passenger side, and the longer the wires, the more power loss there is. It's definately not the headlights though like you said, because I have SilverStars in my rolla and both headlights are as bright as can be. Now I know Toyota dealers get asked this all the time, so ask them and find out from the pros! By the way if you find out, post the results. Good luck!

Dumb question, here, but...was the passenger side headlight bulb (original) dimmer as well, or just when upgraded to the Silverstars ??? Just a thought.....as honestly, I have no idea - I keep my shite oem, for the most part...good luck, as that would suck out loud to have your problem.

Anytime I've had a dimmer headlight it's bene because the harness and bulb contacts arn't contacting perfectly.
