maintenance schedule
Hey all,
I think I got ya beat here. I represent my mom on this forum b/c it's her 2003 Corolla ce that the question is about. She has 90000 miles on hers already (bought April 2003) and is wondering what maintenance is to be done on it. The manual is fairly vague and when they called the toyota service dept they recommended changing the timing belt. That's when I said "Say what?" that engine is chain driven. Sure enough I was right. Anyway, I've heard the serpentine belt should be changed and I know on hondas (and domestic cars as well) that the valve clearance should be checked/adjusted. I changed her spark plugs summer 2004 to bosch +4s. And I put in a drop-in K&N filter.
Any toyota tech out there please provide some suggestions before they get screwed by the dealership.
