brake issues

ok i'm getting an 86 gt-s back on the road. It had fueal delivery problems. which turned out to be a bad pump and a clogged return line. that issue is solved. next up is the brakes. when i started the last owner had put a new master cylinder on but had gone no further. i bled the MC out and proceeded to bleed the entire system. the problem is after i was done was that the pedal went only about halfway down and felt like it was hitting something and stopping. while test driving i pressed the pedal and it popped and sunk almost to the floor. now it is catching near the bottom and seems to be catching more back brakes than front. I was wondering if anyone has had that happen or just knows what is causing it.

yeah i bled them twice. i've got brakes now they're just catching near the bottom. they were stopping halfway last night with no stopping power. then it popped and the pedal went to the floor. now it goes almost all the way to the floor . last night i had more back brakes than front. after bleeding them a second time today i've equal front and back, but still not full power and a low pedal.

Sounds like a slave cylinder might be stuffed, best way to find it is to clamp off all the brake lines. (you can buy little clamps from a car parts shop)

You clamp off all four lines (at the wheel on the flexible part of the line). then press the pedal. It should be rock hard (if not then you have master cylinder problems)
Then let each wheel go one at a time till you find the problem.
