AE92 What sould you do?

Hey, i got a 92 toyota corolla dx, FF, 4A-FE, that i have been working on and i got a question. What i was wanting to do is take a 4A-GE outta a 91 corolla GT-S model and drop it in this summer. Then i heard i could put a 20-valve system on it. my question is what would you do if you had the same car and didn't want to sell it? everryone tells me to sell and get a better platform but i want to keep this for now so wut would you do?

If you're thinking of swapping a 20V or a 16V 4AGE motor on your 4dr sedan, I would suggest starting with upgrading the suspension first. Some KYB struts and a set of lowering springs would be nice. Probably upgrading to the GTS suspension wouldn't be a bad idea either, front and rear swaybars and maybe new bushings from Toyota.

Once you're done with the suspension, its time for a motor swap!

There are no MAP sensor 4AGEs in north america, they were all AFM sensored. So the hi-comp 4AGE was actually 130hp in north america.

AE92

Thanks for the info and here is another question. What is the big differences between the black top, 3rd gen. and other FWD 4A-GE engine setups? That may be a stupid question to some of you but it would help to know, thanks.

here www.ae92gts.com lots of info on the gts version but info none the less. find other sites that work like this for your car but that platform is pretty good dont let other ppl down it. there is a 4 door with a 4agze on there that auto crosses.

imo, the best 4A-GE set is the 2nd Gen 20V silvertop. much cheaper than the blacktop but with the same intake port design, just a little smaller. better head design than any 16V 4A-GE with individual throttle body and has an identical bottom end with the late version GZE.
