20V head

ok this prolly gets asked to many times but i just found a 20v head and im just wondering can you put it on a 4A-FE block? my cars a 3spd auto. and im just wondering can u use the stock exhaust manifold and intake manifold on the 20V head ?

manifolds won't fit.
i think major work needs to be done to fit the head. not to mention you'd also need the ecu to work the VVT and the ITB/AFM.

Pistons might have some weird compression ratios if you just plug and play it on.

lol yea, I have heard of putting the 20 v head on a 4age but not a 4afe. :p

The compression ratio would be really low. You would want to also use 4AGE pistons. And you'll need 4AGE manifolds. And if you want to rev to 7800 rpm you'll need to either modify your ecu or use the 4AGE ecu, or a standalone.

I dont think 4A-GE pistons themselves work, the 20V has cuts in the pistons for the 5 valve design. iirc.

The 20v IS a 4AGE. That's what I meant.

oh, I always figure when someone says 4A-GE on forums they refer to the 16V and refer to 20V as 20V

Well you can just pop on the 16v head if you want.

No a 20v head will go fine on any 4age (Unless your cam belt breaks)
