no way, 5hp, im getting 2 sets so i can get 10hp thats f-in awesome. wait, how do i get 5hp is there some sort of sticker involved?
But... It has to be true, because its been tested by them and its brand name! They cant lie!
But do remember that a Type-R sticker on your corolla gives 75hp additional power

sorry for ressurecting this thread.. just got to put my 02 cents in it.

if you don't have a system requiring a lot of power, grounding will do basically nothing at all.

I regrounded my engine with 4 gauge wiring that I got from Canadian tire.. and basically noticed nothing.. there may be minute differences (less dimming when the bass hits at a specific level of volume lol) .. but really.. it's nothing.. and may be just perceived differences when there really isn't. forgot what that word was.

reguarding flashmn.. He's been on TN for a long time now.. he knows his stuff and I reguard him highly in terms of technical knowledge yada yada yada .. I've been on this board for atleast 3 years now.. but don't post that much :S .. (lurker )

now.. let's all get a long and give each other a big giant group hug

Hyper Ground System is just a bunch of wires; I can make my own set with speaker wire for a fraction of the cost so why should I spend over $100 for yours?
Why should I buy Hyper Ground System when other companies sell something similar for a fraction of the cost?[/

Sun Automobile develops, markets, and manufactures its products to provide the highest quality, reliability, and performance value available. Hyper Ground System was designed from scratch by our engineers and has been tested and proven to be highly effective. The cables used in Hyper Ground System are unique; in fact, the cables are made to our proprietary design that our engineers have developed to provide the lowest resistance electrical connection while minimizing electrical interference. Our 99.99% pure copper, 1477 strand, multi-layered shielding design is unlike anything else available. Unlike off-the-shelf wire, Hyper Ground System was designed specifically for its use. As a provider of OEM parts to Mitsubishi, Subaru, Toyota, Nissan, etc. it is required for us to meet or exceed their standards for durability, temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, etc. For you, this means you are getting a product which is much better quality, durability and performance than something you can piece together on your own or purchase from our competitors. Sun Automobile was the first company to research, develop, and successfully market grounding systems to consumers, so choosing to purchase Hyper Ground System identifies you as an educated person who understands the importance of thoroughly researched, superior quality and performance products.
Hyper Ground System comes complete with the hardware and instruction manual. If you choose to install the product yourself, all you need are basic hand tools and a little time to complete installation. Our competitors’ product, which often does not include instructions, does not offer technical support, is often constructed with inferior materials, and is not necessarily proven to be effective. Constructing your own kit, which requires you to source (inferior) materials, involves labor and time for assembly, without any guarantee of effectiveness or even risk of damaging components in your vehicle, does not necessarily guarantee a proper installation or effectiveness to increase electrical efficiency. Furthermore, adding the cost of your time and labor on top of the cost of materials would probably amount to more than the cost of our kits, and would not include our technical support should any issues arise.

I have nothing against the HKS kit, my cousin has one on his WRX... I even helped him install it and I like it.

And I agree that halfass jobs can get halfass results, but who's to say DIY has to be halfassed? Good high strand audio 4gauge, Oxygen-Free, 100% Copper wires will run you $0.50 - $1.00/foot if you know where to look, and yes it will take the heat. A DIY grounding kit can be done with less than 20 feet of wire... When you buy premade kits, you're buying R&D, materials, and Brand name. It's just with wiring, that R&D is most likely unnecessary as long as you have some understanding of DC systems.

I have a DIY grounding kit on my GTI and it helped with my light dimmer and amp draw a lot. I have no idea how any car would lose power with a grounding kit if it's setup correctly.
