The the AE92 coupe the is supposed to be a manual crank on the sunroof if the motor should die. I have the tool to use but I have no idea where it goes. What cover do I have to remove so I can shut the sunroof manually?

it's in your owners manual, if you don't have one just go to toyota and buy one ($3) lol

Remove the cover where the sunroof switch / map light is. I "think" that you reach up at the front of the cover edge (nearest windshield) and pull downwards to get it off. Unscrew that and you should find the bolt you're looking for.

Only thing is, I'm not sure it cranks shut? When I replaced the cables on mine, it looked as though you loosen off the bolt (under the cover) and it slacks the thing off enough so that you can use your hands to push it shut instead.

What does this tool that you're talking about look like?

Its really just a flat head screw driver with a 90 degree bend at one end.

Don't be!! It is a pain in the ass now that it is dead and its going to cost me a weekend to fix and probably a nice chunk from my wallet!!

it is a nice feature to have though.. I have considered getting an aftermarket power moonroof for my car several time, but something always came up
