'93 new muffler

My 93 corolla is really loud and it sounds like most of the nosie is from the exhuast. Just sitting in the driveway it makes tones of noise. I think there may be a hole in the exhaust or muffler, but if I am going to get a new one, I want to make sure it is worth it. Any suggestions on a really quiet muffler, with a nice sound at high RPMs?

might be a crack in the manifold/flexpipe.

how do i test for that? I heard plugging up the tailpipe and seeing if it stalls.

Just take the heat shield off and see if there is a crack.

Put your hand over the exhaust pipe and ask someone to listen to where its blowing exhaust gasses out.
