Sports Muffler...

My Girl friend has a 1992 rolla sedan...
personally i think it needs a little bit more balls.. as i drive a fairly modified commodore you can imagine the difference when i get into the rolla in terms of performance... anyway... in my opinion the only thing the car need to sound good is a decent sports muffler, my plan was to put it on and not tell her and then wait till she starts the car and watch her freak out at the sound lol... the only problem i have is i have no idea what to buy...
i dont wanna pay over $100 i just simply want a rice burner cannon muffler... any help to where i could find something like this would be apprecitated...

cheers

all you're going to find for $100 is "rice cannons" don't even bother dude as a muffler won't increase the performance like it would on your V8 Commodore, it will just make it "sound" fast.

Yeah it really depends on what your looking for in terms of loudness. Do you want:

- Economy noise (stock)
- Sporty Tone (quiet when needed)
- Wake your neighbours up in the morning
- No cat conv. or resinators (like mine)
or
- Straight-piped (police issue)

There are many things to consider! I bought a cherry bomb turbo muffler. It has a sporty sound, louder than stock, and only for $45.99 CDN

YES! I posted about that before and people didn't really like the idea. Then again, I'm not out to please everyone else. HAHAaa an Oldschool rolla wagon SR5 4Wd with Side Exit Exhaust. I love it!

why go through all that trouble, when the easiest thing is to drill two holes before the first muffler.

Just remove the muffler or put holes in the exhaust forward of the muffler.

The muffler on my friend's Ranger got busted off when he went off roading. When he came back and drove by, I thought someoen was driving a rally car past the building.

I bought it at Canadian Tire. The only thing is, make sure you have a catalyc converter and/or a resinator to prevent an annoying buzz. If you start drilling holes everywhere, you'll just have to fix them later on down the road to pass MVI

haha just take a torch cutter and cut out the resonator, that shit will blow her eardrums out if the windows are up. then just weld a piece of bigger pipe where the resinator used to be.....my buddy drives to total beater escort and we did that to it lol.

My '89 rolla didn't come with a cat. converter, and I took out the resinator..It was no louder, just sounded even more like shit. If you want loud take off from the manifold back.
