Hey guys, i'm in a bit of a jam here.
I'm in desporate need of an AFM and a coil for my 20V silvertop. i've looked everywhere, and no one seems to have those parts for sale (seporate). I have the polot and release bearings (215mm), got the wiring diagrams, the motor and the computer, i have everything but the heat resistant dinomating, the coil, and the AFM.
If anyone knows where i can aquire those things, please let me know. thanks.
Otherwire, i'll be selling the 20V Silvertop and the ECU for $500 Can.
I live in mississauga.
Tnx guys.
I have heard that the AFM from a '90 Camry V6 will work. Also, I can get a new Toyota one for you, but it will be very expensive. You can use just about any Toyota coil as long as you have the right ignitor.
Well...you see...this is the problem, because i was promised by so many places to do the swap (don't have a garage or space myself, stupid townhouse) i was kept waiting for more then a year. then i snapped and took it 2 midas... Yeah i know, retarded. but i was refferd to them, and was told that the guy knew what he was doing. ended up that he doesn't. so now i'm stuck there, and with only half the parts. so if i can get all the right parts, the guy should be able 2 do the wiring (considering i provided him with the diagrams). but i still need the AFM and the ignitor / coil (some dinomatting would also do)
Hitman.. PM Ichi(TRDragoon) for some help, he did his 20V swap at home and he works for DVP Lexus he might be of some help for ya. Also PM Ryan (KPsxtyone I believe) for wiring, he does 20V wiring in Toronto, he can do it for you so that its basically plug and play if you haven't got it figured out.
DVP toyota and lexus eh? hmmm....close to woodbine right? cuz i work for tiger direct, that's prety close 2 there. anyway...thanks for the help man. but i also need to grab some parts as well. i have my release bearing (215mm) and polot bearing. but i still need the ignitor / coild, and AFM for the 20V. i was told that i can use the AFM of off the V6 camry, but i don't know how true that is, and as far as the coil or ignitor what do i do there? i coudlnt' find those anywhere. otherwise that's prety much what's holding me back.
But thanks again. i'll try and PM those guys when i get a chance, cuz i've just been so damn busy.
NP dude.. if you do a search on the for sale forum for "20V wiring" I'm sure Ryan's post will come up.. he was offering the 20V wiring service a couple of months ago.
i can get you the coil & ignitor..... they aren't mine, so i couldn't tell you prices...... i know his afm is gone, because i already sold it to someone else (for him). I would assume he'll probably want somewhere between $50-100 US shipped for the coil/ignitor assembly
he also has (if needed) the distributor, ecu (2 plugs for the ecu), fuse box, and probably some other parts
