That's what I thought. Some guy on ebay posted his 1985 SR5 with a 1.8L 4ac... and he's fighting me about it! Why do I care? I don't know. I just hate it when people advertise the wrong thing and swear they are right!

Nowhere in that ebay link did I see him advertise a 1.8L 4ac. The seller never advertised the wrong thing. That's obviously a 3tc engine in the sr5 which IS 1.8L. He's right, you're wrong.

When I asked what motor it had, he said it was the stock 4ac. He's wrong and right at the same time.

prolly just miscommunication between you 2. that's definitely a 3T-C motor like hachi_slow said a 1.8L

The 3-tc is a 1.8, but the last year for that engine was 1983. 1984 was the new gen for corolla. Rear wheel drive SR-5 got the 4AC, GTS got the 4AGE, fornt wheel drive 4 doors had the 4ALC. The "L" stood for transverse engine.

all the 4a blocks were 1.6 thats what makes those engines even better. 1.6 liter 4age will give that 2.0 honda a run for their money

True, but giving a Honda K series motor a run for their money? Doubtful.

Yah, I mean, I love Toyotas and everything, but the 4af, 4ac, and 4afe are NOT fast motors lol...

You can probably beat a Geo Metro, Civic CX, etc in a straight line, but that would be it!
