I think the biggest improvement would be with camshafts, then if he has enough money a Cold air intake and exhast system. Youd be looking at about $2000-$2500 for that and maybe 20- 30 hp.

Turboing the engine wouldn't give you 100 hp unless you spent more than 2500

They're talking US not CDN dude.. $2500 US for a Turbo kit doesn't sound wrong.. a decent turbo kit and some tuning could easily give you 80-100hp.

The TRD SC kit for the Corolla is about what $2000-2500 CDN? and that only gives you about 40-45hp the most.
