Hey guys Im lookin to upgrade the tires on my 2005 corolla dx to a wider tire than the 185 65 r15 that came stock on this car. Does anybody know the widest tire i can put on this car without rubbing.

Try 195/60-15, not sure if the rim is wide enough but you could also try 205/55-15, like I said.. IF the rim is wide enough. (15x6.5 or 7)

First of all where did you get a 05 DX I have a 03S takes 195-65-15...I went to a 205-65-15 directional tires and in less then a year it tore my inside tread up(erratic wear) on both front wheels and had terrible road noise, my wheel alignment was perfect but the alignment guy said the over-sized tires changed my caster position..I lucked out and took it back to BJ's where I bought them and they replaced all four of my tires free because it was their fault for selling me over-sized tires ...I should have taken REN69's advice and went to a 205-60or55-15...It might have worked but I will probably never know Be careful and good luck..Radd Guy....

I went with 195-65R15's when I replaced mine.

I checked the DOT decal inside the car that says the recommended tire presure and stock size, I find I get a better ride with the 195's compared to the 185 that I had.
