Was there a regular 3 point belt option in the AE92 sedan? I have the manual Lapbelt/Shoulder belt combo and it just gets on my nerves. I just want to go to a normal setup that I don't have to buckle and unbuckle twice.
That's weird.. AE92 Coupes came with a 3 point belt, one buckle and that's it. Both my cars have them front and back. That's weird that the sedans would have that style still. I'd say look around at the junkyards for coupes and take the seatbelts.
Quick question, would you think the belts and retractor assemblys be the same for the three levels of Toy cars? Tracel, Corolla and Camary? I figure that would be the case but wanted to know before I headed out and started riping cars apart this weekend.
maybe similar but not the same, but you won't know until you check. You'll most likely need the belts and buckles, as long as those are the same I imagine you can bolt them on the car and use them.
on my SR5 it has the lap belt and the one that goes across your chest on the door....... i grabbed some new doors from the junkyard (GTS doors) and i found out that GTS have regular seatbelt assemblys and nothing on the doors... so im headed there this weekend to grab the assembly and "rig it" to my SR5......
yea the parts jetta I had bought had those kind of belts. It was from the states though, they didn't come like that here in ontario. not sure if it was the same for the corolla's you probably don't need to switch the doors. There might just be a plug for the whole, since all the doors would have been made the same.
They annoy me 2. But if you do a swap check with your insurance first. A junkyard swap done by an owner probably won't please them. And if you go through the windshield in an accident, they might not cover you.
Insurances don't care about what you put on your car, as long as you HAVE a seatbelt they do not care. You're better off not telling them as they could use this against you if anything were to happen to you or someone else in your car and not want to pay up. It's like people telling their insurance that you put a $50 intake in your car and then finding out next month that they either raised your insurance OR cancelled it on you due to modding. I've heard it happen before.
