Exclamation Need 1990 Corolla Service manual needed ASAP For Trans

Ok My borther is not to car literate! Some how the other night he was driving home and some noise started so he pulled over and then he couldn't move the car at all!! We had it towed to the nearest trans shop as thats what myself and the tow truck driver though was wrong with it!! The trans shop looked at it and said the differental is seized and the recommend a rebuilt trans and through them were talking $1500! Well my bros car isn't worth that much, it has body damage but was driving fine till this!!
We have a chiltons manual but it only has 4 pages devoted to the auto transaxel! I need something with more a lot more!!! I would love it if someone can hook me up with a downlodable manual!!!! His car is a base model 1990 Corolla sedan with the 3 speed auto!
I need a manual that could guide me through removal and installation of a used trans!!! I need pics torque values ect!!!

My current plan is to go and pull a hopefully good used trans @ pick and pull ASAP! And put that in his car!!! But if someone near me has a nice 3 speed auto that would work in his car for a really cheap price let me know!!! I'm in Jamestown CA 95327 and could come pick it up if its near me!!!
Thanks for your help, Seth

You can go to the public library and see if they have subscription to alldata.com; or you can pay and then you have to figure if you can tackle the job.
On other hand the differential in that tranny is in the same core with the tranny but separate. I know that people have fixed theirs with $400 at the tranny shop. It is actually a common weak point in that car. You might be better off calling different shops. Plan B would be to find a junkyard tranny in car-part.com and throw it in there and call it a day.
Hope this helps.

Hey thanks for the replys!!! I was able to find a set of 90 Corolla Toyota Factory Service manuals online and I should have them in my hand by Wednesday!!!! I looked at car-part.com but there is only like 2or3 3 speeds near me and they are like $300-350 on there so I am going to risk it and try and pull one tommorow at the pull it your self pick and pull!! If I'm lucky it'll be on sale and get one for $75 ish!?!?!
Anyways just incase what years and bodys/makes did the 3 speed auto in my bro's 90!! Or if they don't have any 3 speeds is a 4 speed an easy swap in?!?!?!
