signal indicator prob.

'99 corolla ..signal lights began blinking on the dash by themselves,lights outside would not.replaced every signal light front and back ..still prob....replaced relay ($112.00 cdn)..still prob....now its the right side indicator that stays lit on the dash..lights outside still work when i use the indicator but it just keeps BLINKING right......please help...dealership will rape me..noob on here..thanks

You got to give people more than 2 hours to respond, heck most of the west coast hasn't even gotten out of bed yet.

It also helps if you post what year and trim your car is as the wiring schematics are diffrent over all of the seprate generations.

hi.sorry...like i said i'm a noob here.......it's a 1999 corolla LE...beige color..all services done
2T1BRE2XC747774 V.I.N. if that helps...i'm thinking maybe switch on steering post...with relay in it blinks right on the dash...if i push slightly down on the switch it stops..release it blinks again,but not on the outside lights...thx again

If you think that could be the problem then change it dude.. honestly I don't recall ever hearing something like that so it could be a very rare problem. I'd say change the switch and see what happens.

^^ I've got a similar problem. The dash indicator doesnt come on but the clicking noise for signaling is on all the time. It's driving me nuts

making appointment today at toyota...getting 2nd mortage for repair..it's either the switch on the post or bad wire somewhere..i'm sure i'll get the honest answer from the techie..let ya know.....not much help came on here

problem fixed..bad switch on the steering column..total cost of repair 340.00 cdn...tech said he only replaced one other arm was getting cold doing those old hand signals...still never figured out the hazard hand light signal though..
