'99 1zz-fe to '01 1zz-fe VVTi swap

I need to replace the engine in my wife's '99 corolla and when searching for engines I found a usdm '01 1zzfe with the VVTi for the same price as the best deal on an '99 1zzfe without the VVTi. I figured that I might as well get the newer engine and the added horsepwer but I wanted to make sure about what is involved in a swap like that. Is it a matter of just the ECU or would I have to get a new wiring harness as well because of the VVT? Are there any other changes that I would have to make?
