40th anniversary japan model specs?

This is probably old but I have a couple of questions.

I was looking around the corolla website on toyota of japans site.

They have a 40th anniversary edition of the corolla. IT says 4wd I think

First question . How come japan can get a 4wd version of the corolla and we cant?

Does anybody have the specs for this?

IF there is a prior thread to this then please point me to it.

Because Japanese cars are made in Japan whereas north american cars are either made in Canada or in the US. Compared to what Japan gets, we never get shit when it comes to ANY car dude.

^ I think at one point, North America had a better engine in the IS300, 2JZGE, while the Altezza had a 3SGE. There was a IS200 sold in Asia also with a 2.0 I6, but that had less power and torque than the 3SGE. Probably it was done for smoothness of the engine. I cannot think of any more examples though.
