full size spare tire

I was wondering if someone could say for sure if an oem wheel and tire would fit in the spare tire well. I could really use an answer on this it's a critical point in the purchase of a new one. I've seen mixed reviews. Thanks in adavnce

Why don't you just jack the car up and take the wheel off and see if it fits.

tokyoracer I was wondering that when I pulled my spare out when I used it. The spot looks about the right size for the tire. Maybe I have found a use for that 1 rim and tire I didn't ruin from the front :p

I was thinking the same thing myself this morning, when I was taking the ice out of my trunk and opening the drain hole in the spare tire well. It fits on an AE92 for sure.

like I said thats where that brand new x-ice tire and my old 13" rim that survived the curb will be going. One time driving on that damn donut was enough for me! then again not sure if I want the extra weight of a full size tire.
and ren I can't wait to fix my leaky trunk once the weather gets nice enough to have the silcone cure! that and how my locks don't work since the drivers one won't turn and you can't get the key into the passenger one!

Sorry the year is 2006. I am new to posting but I look this forum over quite a bit. I am associated with a dealership in the great state of MO! This seems to be a great place for information.

It should fit, logic tells that if you put the small spare tire on the car then the fullsize should fit in the spare tire compartment. Otherwise what's the purpose?

I personally hate those small spare tires. Makes me wonder why Toyota made those when they could give out full size spares just like in other countries. It's even riskier to drive with those small wheels and I don't trust them on the highways.

more cost effective. You shouldn't trust them on the hwy the are only meant to do 80km/h when the limit is 100. I had mine up to 110 and it felt ok but thats only because I stopped watching the speedometer for a sec lol

lol. it has been a while hasn't it... I got a corporate job that's been keeping me tied down, Senior Visual designer for the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Web Development Team. I just launched Car Sales and Truck and I'm currently heading up the 07 redesign for the Rent-A-Car site and coordinating it in five different languages.

Love the naners bro! ...are they BR or Panasport?
