Question Tire Pressure Warning Light

Hi, I have a 2005 Corolla LE and my tire pressure warning light keeps coming on. I followed the instructions to turn the light off that are in the manual, and it stayed off for a few weeks. However, it came on again recently.

Upon checking my tires, 3 of them had 30-35 lbs of pressure (which should be pretty close to full) and 1 had about 22 lbs. I know that's not full, but I wouldn't think that would be enough to cause the light to come on. Anyone have any ideas?

well, I'm no expert, but I think 22lbs would be enough to set off the sensor.

Dude, that's potentially a 13 lb. difference! The tire valves don't have sending units on them which is why it doesn't tell you which tire is low.

The more air pressure a tire has, the greater the diameter and the slower it turns. Likewise, the less air pressure, the smaller the diameter and the faster it turns. They use the ABS sensors to measure wheel speed. If it determines there's a difference, it tells you something is wrong!

I wouldn't want a tire to be down 13 lbs. when I had to make an emergency maneuver! You should wondering why one tire was low!

Upon further investigation I found that it may have had something to do with the 4 inch long screw stuck in it . Oh well, at least it's plugged now...
