Suggestions?

Hi everyone. I have a kind of unique situation and wanted to see if anyone could offer me any help on where to begin. I have a friend with a Toyota Corolla DX. I believe it is a sixth generation (don't know the appropriate model number) produced between 1988-1992. I want this to be a surprise so I haven't asked the exact year.

The gas cover door (not the cap) was broken off and I would like to find a replacement. The car is white. Does anyone know of a good resource for finding this? Should I just start with salvage yards?

Thanks much

I would imagine that you won't have any trouble finding one as they're pretty common, but if you do, there are a bunch of AE92's in our local pick-your-part. I think there are even a couple white ones (maybe?).

If you need me to, I can take one off and send it down

burnt,

Got any windshield washer reservoirs (sans motors) laying around for a '92 Corolla DX?

Assuming '92 is the same as the earlier models (88 and up) then I think there might be some.

I might be heading in there in the next while looking for some rotors and a radiator for my brother's car, I'll take a look then.

From what I've gathered looking online, the same washer reservoir (and motors) will fit '88 - '92 Corollas. When I bought my car, the plastic washer reservoir was missing; a victim of freezing I later found out. I guess busted reservoirs were common on this model. I had planned on looking around at some of our local junk yards for one, but when I saw your post I just had to ask.

On a side note, I have a friend that has a '91 Corolla who also needs a reservoir without the motor.
