finally it happens

my car finally broke down......
I went to esso @ woodbine/Steeles to fill up the tank, after filling, the car just won't start, battery was ok, but when I turn the ignition, I can only hear 'tick', one turn one 'tick'......damn
called CAA and my car is in can tire now(opposite of pacific mall), any guess on what happened to my car? how much to fix?
(why can tire? becoz all garages I know were close (7:45pm) and I don' want to put my car outside of the garage overnight)

your starter is dead. whats happening is the brush is not making contact. literally a $0.50 peice that needs to be fixed, but mechanics will charge at least $70.00 to fix it if you don't know how yourself...and trust me, its not really a diy job.

on the flipside,a brand new starter will run you around $200.

sometimes if you bang on the starter really hard the brushes make contact again and it can start. might want to try that before anything.

Ouch!! how much did they charge you for a new one?? you could've had the old rebuilt for like $80 or less, easily.
