clutch vibration problem.. plz help

i just bought a 96 corolla and the guy said the clutch was brand new and was just relpaced. so i went to get it, payed and drove off. im not calling anyone a liar but this clutch feels like piss. it engages correctly, it doesnt slip but it vibrates terrible. as soon you get near the engage point is just shakes and vibrates. if you are completely let-off you can still feel it but not as hard. completely pressed u can still feel it but not as hard, its mostly at the engage point. whats causing this? thanks guys, i am new to the forum but im sure i will enjoy it.

if it's a performance clutch - that's what they do until they warm up

if its not severe then let it go for a week or so see if it goes away may need to be broken in if its brand new.

if its got more than 5000 km or so and its still doing it the flywheel may not have been machined! i neglected to have this done the first time around after about a month of this vibration the clutch fell apart and destroyed itself.. it had to be redone

a little bit of vibration upon installation is normal but shouldn't last long!

ok the performance clutch and new thing just doesnt sound very feesible. ive had an rx7 clutch replaced and a honda accord 2 door too. both (especially the 7) have sportier clutches and when i got the cars back they felt great. infact the accord is so smooth i couldnt hardly feel the pedal haha. the flywheel being crapped on sounds more like it. i guess some people cant drive for crap.

dude..... it's all about the weight and force of the pressure plate. if it isn't broken in or if it's a performance pressure plate, then having slip while you drive w/o chatter (ie, clutch chatter) is pretty damn difficult

i had a better chance to look at it today and all the vibration is coming from the clutch fork, with foot off the clutch and car in neutral, although there is vibration throughout the gears also. so something is screwed up. i guess im gonna bring it to a transmission shop, but i guess i should except them to have to take the tranny off and all. suck.

Canada clutch chatter ...

this problem may be caused from not machining the flywheel when the clutch was replaced. or could be from a high performance clutch .. such as a centerforce unit ... it should go away after 5000km or so ... if the clutch is not broken in yet !!!!! drive hard n drive fast !!!!
