ok, so a couple months ago i noticed my atenna on my corolla is up, meaning the whole thing is up, but now its back all the way down, i mean all the way down that you see the black pall thing at the tip end, my question, how does the atenna work in our cars? is there a switch that pulls it up or down?? thanks

Don't know how that would be sliding back down it looks almost horizontal, maybe someones playing games with you (parking lot, school, etc) and I don't think they were power unless its an aftermarker thing. Did it ever happen before?......, I use to keep mine half way out cause it looked stupid all the way out and always looked bent like this one does. I never did liked that style antenna and it was on Toyota cars for years ...Radd Guy...

You noticed your antenna was up a couple months ago Its only about two feet in front of your face every time you get into your car
^ thanks, thats what i thought too, that they're not powered, but its stuck, i mean.....if i try pulling it back up it wont come up, and i remember when the time when it was all the way up and i tried puting it back down and it wont go back down, i feel like i was gonna break it if i push it any harder, confuse....

Yeah that happened to me too, that's why they get bent ...Something like WD40 would probably help...I don't think their that hard to replaced(either the whole unit or just the bayonet) and shouldn't cost much...I never changed mine maybe someone here has done it and can help...Good luck...Radd Guy...

To the person that turned my signature New Years girl in as "Obscene"
anyone ever replaced that one with an aftermarket thats a little shorter, or at least looks a little better?
Mine looks just like that, I can see the shadow it makes waving around. Sometimes it scares me. Also, living where I do I have to have it all the way up otherwise no radio.
Sure, you might ask why listen to the radio anyway, but I have to get the traffic report! Seriously...
thanks ren? haha....ok anyways, its true, its actually 100% manual, i just about to ripped it off when i pulled it up but it workd, and after that, it just slide more easy, i just it was kinda rusty.
