Subs in my XRS 05

Hello im new to this so cut me some slack....

I have a Corolla XRS 05 just ordered two 12" Infinity Perfect subs and not sure what kind of amp and box i should get. Does wood boxes or glass give it more bass?? Would i need a battery to help power the subs? Peak power is 1400W. Also Im still using the stock cd player (6 disc changer) Does it have a amp outlet? the manual doesnt really say much about the stereo.

Any help will be appreciated!

Canada subs n amp !!!

make sure ya use a stiffening cap !!! so ya dont get the disco effect in your electrical system at high volume...im running 2 10's alpine type r . with a pyramid 1600watt amp . with a stiffening cap which eliminated the disco effect it was pretty bad at high volume levels...

I think he is refering to the car when it blinks from lack of power. which in any case.. a cap wouldnt help at all.. so don't pay attention to that. Its been proven to have nearly no effect. Unless you got like the biggest farad cap you can get, then maybe some help.
