its an automatic but when i put it in drive it feels like its a clutch slipping and white smoke/steam and vapor comes out the exhaust even when warm. also the whole car is shaking.. i'm thinking its a headgasket but what else could it be?

sounds like it probably is a head gasket, get a compression tester and see how the compression is. should be min 140psi, 195psi is standard compression.
