Blown motor

A friend of mine drove my car for 2 weeks I got a 90 corolla gts coupe with the 4A-GE motor and he ran it without oil. So the whole bottom half is wasted. I was wondering if the head of the 4A-GE would fit on the bottom half of a 4A-FE. Cause i got the bottom half of a 4A-FE and the Head of a 4A-GE. What is the difference in blocks. Please help i need my car back. thank you.

had it been a 7AFE you would have the most wanted 7AGE hybrid.

4AFE.. why bother.. might as well pick up a used 4AGE.

the blocks themselves are almost identical but... the internals aren't the 4a-fe is much much weaker, easiest is to find a used 4age

If its the new gen 4A-FE the internals are just as strong.

the amount of time you'll waste trying to make that hybrid run properly, you might as well use that time to search for a used 4a-ge and dropped then way you go.

Well, its an oversquare engine to begin with, they're not that great for revving, piston speeds go up quite alot. Anything will break if you stress it too much. But I've yet to see a 7A crankshaft split in two, I've seen few 4A-GE ones.

lol, never seen a snapped 4age crank.... seen snapped 4age cams.... and had a 4age rod snap (and put 2 holes through the block)

but i've also seen a video of a 4age with no oil in it whatsoever run at redline for over 5 minutes before it did any damage!
