Automatic Transmission light busted

Hello.

Has anyone ever experienced the light on your Automatic Transmission won't light up anymore? I manage to find the light bulb but I’m having a problem taking it out and also does anyone know what’s the part number of that light bulb be? A link to a DIY would be of great help too.

I’ve been searching the web for a days now and still no hits. So I was wondering if you guys/gals could help me. Thanks in advance.

Since you managed to find the light bulb your almost there I have an 03 also and replaced mine last summer, the bulb isn't listed in the service manual but I'm sure its a 5W clear type E same as your license plate bulbs...I took a small needle nose pliers and wrapped some tape around the ends to serve as a buffer...I know its tight in there and I broke one trying to get a new one back in but it will come out and go back in if your careful, I just took the burnt bulb to an auto place and they matched it up...was like 75 cents ...One thing if you haven't found this out is to put a towel or something in the base to catch any falling parts because they will be gone forever, I lost a few screws that way....Since you have a 03 like mine so far I have replaced the shifter bulb, personal light(on the moon roof panel) a license plate bulb and a climate control knobs bulb....Good Luck....Radd Guy....

The bulb is right underneath the plastic that has the letters P-R-N-D-D1-D2. That plastic is secured by clips.

I'll try to post small DIY once I'm done replacing the bulb.
