New to the Corolla lifestyle, general ideas and info needed

Yoooooooo to the TN, I put a post in the ice breaker forum but no one responded to it, meh. So this is my new baby http://homepage.mac.com/benandtika/PhotoAlbum21.html . Just going to pick her up from the shop, the seller just had a new starter put in. I want to do some things to the car, but have it keep the classic flair. My first ideas are replacing the AM RADIO, and second would be wheels and tires. I worked at Magnolia HiFi in Seattle for a while, and know what I like in a stereo, but I don't know about installing and connecting the new technology with the old. I also don't know who makes wheels that fit an 81 Corolla, what size I need, all that. I'd be psyched to meet some 80s corolla gurus. Holla

Nice ride dude! Looks like it needs wheels, you can fit any wheel that has a bolt pattern of 4x114.3 with any offsets from 20 to -10, the smaller the offset, the more lip you get from the wheel Most people will go with either 14x7 or 15x7 at the front and 14x8 or 15x8 on the back. Any wheel that fits the AE86 Corollas will fit your car really, the most common upgrade is to use the 82-86 Supra wheels.

As for meeting gurus here, unfortunately there's not many people that own your generation of Corolla here, but you can meet tons on them at www.toyota3tc.com
