I'm so mad! grrr.. damn rear speakers!!

Well.. first I wanna let the mods know this is AE92 "GTS" RELATED, not a general stereo question... so don't move the post! :x

Anyways.. I attempted to remove the rear speakers on my GTS, to my amazement the speaker cover gets clipped onto the speaker shelf itself, so if I take the OEM speaker off, I lose the bracket area for the cover! :x that leaves me with 3 choices.

a)Make my own adaptable bracket which I was thinking about but I cannot find a suitable material to make a sturdy bracket. so :x (refer to c) LOL)

b)Pick up a rear deck from an SR5 without speakers at back which hopefully WILL match the color of my car(I doubt I'll be that lucky! :x ) and cut holes for the replacement speakers and the grilles that come with them, since the original GTS rear deck is cut in a way that it leaves holes on the sides if I use these grilles :x .

c)Pick up a set of GTS speakers and totally gut out the speaker from the speaker shell and cut out the back shell so that only the bracket area is left, allowing me to be able to clip in the speaker cover. A good question here is, what could I use to cut this metal piece without splitting it in half?? dremel too maybe?

And to fux it all up, the speakers are apparently 4.5 or 5inch.. cuz the 4inch don't fit and the 5.25's are too big too.
If you own a ae92 GTS and you have a better and/or easier solution, let me know cuz right about now I'm so mad I almost used the speakers as soccer balls

Possible solution.. anyone wanna buy a Power Acoustik 5.25 inch component set??

ok, you can ghetto rig 5.25" to fit, i have those in mine, sony 3 ways. just use longer screws.. it does hold pretty good. or you can use 4" to fit stock. and just makeshift mounts for the speaker covers.. or ride without any, or get some other grills to fit.

yeah.. I have a set of sony 3 ways 5.25 lying around and the PA 5.25 component set.. neither fit.. so I think I'm gonna grab an SR5 rear deck, most of them came without rear speakers, so that should be just a cutting job.. either that or get some GTS speakers from the wreckers and cut the bracket part out.. we'll see.. it was cold and it started snowing so I quit.. for a few days at least. I'm gonna see what I can do.

P.S. If I ever meet the Toyota engineer who designed the GTS speakers I'ma kick his arse!
