HELP water in engine

today it started raining hard and the streets got flooded and to cut a long story short i drove through one and my car stalled while in the middle of one when i got the car out to the side i took the inter cooler off and water cam pouring out.i then took the spark plugs out and turned it over to get the water out after i thought it was all gone i put them back in and started it up struggled a bit but started and now theres a ticking sound coming from around the first clyinder and when i reved it and the super charger came on the engine started to die.

its a 1987 gtz by the way
i really need to get this fixed so i can sell my car

I think its time to take the head off and check the damage, sounds like you hydrolocked it.

Ouch! yeah dude.. sounds like your GZE is gonzo.

I'd say let it sit for a few days, maybe outside in the sun so that they motor dries off, as it could just be the water causing a short on your spark plug wires. If it doesn't start then yeah, its dead.

leave the plugs out, if u have a block heater or regular heater put it there.. trying to evap all the water out of there... cross your fingers after a day or two... then try to start it..

blockheaters arent powerful enough to boil the water. Only way to get the water out is sucking it out or taking the head off and wiping it out.
