ugh I hate when I ask questions like this and someone has to be a smartass, first of all I have NO money. Went back to school and I am broke. I messed around with the carb the other night and it seems to be running better but I want to do it properly. Besides right now I need to limit the power that enginehas because if it had more I would use it, and I don't need to go faster right now
Well I wasnt trying to sound like a smartass, but the AISIN carb is REALLY limiting, adjusting the mixtures screw only applies to idle. So you cant really limit high rpm unless you change the jettings.
hey flashmn i was thinking of getting a set of oer racing carbs (japanese copies of webber) 40mm, but not too sure on the inlet manifold and how hard it would be to install them. got any advice on it?
The long screw with the knob adjusts the idle speed.
The screw on the arm sounds like the dash-pot, which keeps the gas up for few seconds so that the engine wont stall on throttle shut-off.
So in essence, you didnt really adjust the carb at all.
