Rolla XRS gear box

hey, i own a scion TC and my gear ratios seem very close, in 1st gear i barely reach 30mph, 2nd 50, 3rd 78, 4th 105,and 5th around 130, its really unpleasant because at 60mph in the 5th gear, im at a ridiculous 2950RPM, so i was wondering if corolla xrs has that close gear ratios, so post what your corolla xrs can reach at 8100rmp(or w/e the exact redline is) in every gear.
thanks

There are two reasons for this:
1. Your neon was a piece of garbage that is why it blew up.
2. Yamaha's Racing Division, known for lightweight high reving powerful motors, designed the 2zz-ge motor from the ground up to handle more than 9000 rpms safely. Think of it as a four wheeled yamaha motorcycle. The 2zz is made of MMC (metal matrix composite) which makes it lighter and stronger than conventional motors. It also has very stout engine internals stock. The XRS Corolla redlines at 8200 rpms and the rev limiter is at 8400 rpms. At 6400 rpms spacers are slid underneath the rocker arms forcing the valves open longer than usual allowing a larger amount of air/feul into the engine. This makes it run very rich which helps the 2zz to not blow up at high rpms. Go to www.howstuffworks.com for more about MMC and VVTL-i

1ZZ was completely designed and built by Toyota itself.
