Yes it is peter.. that looks like a sweet future drift machine.. drop a 4AGZE and you have yourself a pimpin wagon.

BTW the whole suspension from the AE86 will fit the TE/KE/AE72 Corollas, and I believe many other parts will also fit.

great cars

...I drove one of these for a few years, mine was mint, wish I never sold it.

you need engine mounts from an 83 model 1.6L TE to install an A series motor (I think dendeel might have some). The nose is very short on these, a supra motor would be very very tight, I'd consider a truck motor, 22R, or a 4agze/4agte.

They have leaf spring rear suspension.

Parts are rare and expensive, and somewhat unique when it comes to the back half of the car, which is unfortunately the part that rots out on these.

The biggest killer of these cars is the driveshaft assembly, they are not interchangeable with any other model, and can only be purchased as a complete assembly. So if the carrier (mid) bearing goes, it's $700 or so to fix, and almost no chance of finding one at a wrecker.

I saw that car in the trader, but my wife won't let me have it! haha

Neil

lol... drive shaft goes more reason to spendmoney on it, i have seen things done nice and i fell in love...i would be doing alot of custom work, ill probly switch the back fom leaf to macpherason assembly, id wonder if any parts of a ae86 will fit, theres a sr5 fr sale for 400 bucks around my place...

each car will rots with time, i asked for under body pics and i wouldnt mind checking it out, iam not even sure if its running conditon..

id love this as a project, iam pretty sure u can drop a 7mgte into it , yes it will be tight but i think it will be worth it.......how about a j25?(wrx engine) swap, my buddy has one, its got a blown head gasket, hes selling it for 1000 bucks, but then i would need to find a tranny wat will fit , ?

i have a lot of thinking to do , and when i see more pics ill make up my mind...

peter

edit, car is sold.....no more worrys..hahaha

OMG when i first so this wagon... you're the first person i thought of Neil! hahaha, i still remember the one left on the highway, i bet you're still kicking your behind even now.

Neil's right 1JZ would be tight. a 7MGTE would be front heavy. go with a 22RTE!
