Help! What is this plunger thing on my carb??
It's been disconnected as long as I've had the car. I hooked it up today and started the car, and it was stuck at WOT, so that's why it was disconnected!
What is it and what does it do? Should I replace it?

dashpot, keeps the idle up a bit when you release the gas, so that it doesnt stall.

I set mine to idle at 1100 - 1200 so when I TURN THE fan, lights, and everything on it doesn't shake anymore lol

The idle up should handle that.

It is very stiff. I wil replace it if it is cheap enough.
