Heat smell

I have a 2006 Corolla CE with 1700 miles on it. The last week or so I have noticed that when I open the driver's door there is a momentary smell of slight burning or heat. It does not seem to be the engine as all indicators are fine and I do not smell it on the passenger side. I had to have the rubber window sealer replaced on the driver's door window. Wonder if that could be anything. Any one ever hear of this or have any ideas?

ps....Hi to everyone. Am new on the forum.

is it parked in the sun?

you should leave your windows open an inch all the time on a brand new car. All the new upholstery and plastics emit quite poisonous vapours for the first 6 - 12 months.

Since you havent noticed anything that could be burning it may very well be the fumes from the adhesives and upholstery materials that you smell.Heat build up would cause this.....
