Opinions on this deal please?

Hi
Found a 2000 Corolla CE at a dealer for $7,000. Has 60,000 miles, 4 cyl auto engine. VIN (should it be useful to you!) is 2T1BR12E5YC372917.

Is that a reasonable deal? High end Kelley Blue book is $8200. I have read elsewhere that all Toyotas can have issues with oil leaks and burning...is that true?

Be more patient, you can do better than that

I found a 2001 LE for $5200 (clean title, 50k on the motor, private seller) for my friend.

Quite a saving, I would agree. I am also looking at Chevrolet Prisms too, as they are rebadged COrollas, I understand.
