Question Brake warning light coming on

Hello all. The brake warning light on the dash used to show when the hand brakes is up comes on (sometimes) when the brake pedal is pressed. The brake fluid in the resoivoir is more than 1/2 filled. One of the rear brake light is blown and I removed the bulb to get it changed. Could this be the problem?

No a bulb won't turn that light on.

Top the brake fluid up. It should be full.

mine used to come on when I accelerated really fast. Then i figured out it was just a bit under the allowed level in the reservoir, and when it moved in there under acceleration it set off my brake light, so its pretty sensitive to the brake fluid level.

OK, thanks guys. I topped up the brake fluid and the light has stopped coming on.

Thanks again
