4A-C Carbuator

I have a 1986 Toyota Corolla LX 4 Door Hatchback with the 4A-C Engine - Carburated, with an automatic transmission.
Does anyone know where I could get a manual for the carburator - a complete set of instructions to be ale to adust the carb properly. My problem is that the engine idles rough when in gear standing at a traffic light, but soon as you apply the gas or put it in nuetral, it smoothens right out and runs like a charm at all other speeds. I have replaced all the plugs, plug wires, rotor, air filter, checked all vacuum lines, etc. I have tried all kinds of adjustments on the carb but still find it to idle rough. Help please!!!!!!!!!

Theres not really a hell of a lot you can adjust on the factory carb, but there is plently of things to wear out.

What rpm does it idle at when stationary in drive, and what happens when you just turn the idle up. Or have you already tried that.

I recently had the same symptons with the same kind of car, and they were caused by bits of broken-off rubber floating around inside the carb and clogging the idle circuit and float valve. The remaining rubber was rock-hard and easy to crack. I took apart the carb, and now everything is OK, but maybe all you have to do is remove the top of the carb to clean out any debris and orfices. If your carb was like mine, you'll probably want to clean off the top before disassembling it.
