Break in period

Hi, I was wondering when I could switch over to synthetic oil during my break-in period? Is 1000 miles ok or do I wait until 3k to switch over. I was also told to change my oil after 1000 miles with dino to get all the contaminents out of the engine and filter. Then after 3k to get regular oil changes.
What is the proper way to break in a new corolla?

yeah you can change at the first oil change.
