AE86 20V Swap, can someone help?

Hey guys, i know i've posted this before.
but i need help with my 20V swap.
rite now i have a 20V silvertop, missing AFM and coil / ignitor ass. , i have the computer. adn my 86 gt-s has been waiting for this motor swap forever.
Now i have a choice to make, because i could not find any parts for the silvertop, i was considering buying a 20V blacktop complete. which will solve my parts issue, BUT, there is still the swap portion. because i do not have a place to do it in, dont' have a garage or nothing, and i can't use my buddy's house anymore (thank you neighbourhood asshole calling the city on us), i was looking for someone that could do the swap. The old motor is out of the car, the the car is prepped for the swap. everything has been removed, no interrior, no engine components, just the bare shell. This friday (24th feb) i will find out if the 20V blacktop is complete. if anyone can help out with the silvertop parts, and i can save some money, then that's great, if not, then i'll just buy the blacktop.

But again, the bottom line is i need someone to do the swap for me. the whole thing, putting the motor, re-routing the water lines, and the wiring. Wondering if there is anyone within the mississauga, / toronto area that would be willing to do that, and how much it would cost (roughly). my p00r baby has been sitting for more then a year, i really need her done by the end of march.

If anyone has any ideas, please e-mail, or call my cell.

Thanks guys.

man.. i feel for you but you did it on the wrong season. every home garage i know have cars inside. i'll ask my buddy and see if he's willing to do a swap this time of year. i can't promise though.

about the BT 20V. you have to decide which one you really want. there are pros and cons for both believe it or not. to solve your AFM meter problem, just run an aftermarket standalone ECU like the MegaSquirt. sell the ST ECU to get some money back. the last AFM i saw on ebay was sold for $180USD. that's too much if you ask me. just run MAP and use an MS set-up.

Isn't Applewood in Mississauga? The would probably get this swap done ASAP for you, and I would think they could find parts for you too as they specialize in Toyotas.

Hahaha, funny you guys should mention applewood, because if you drive by there you will see a little blue ae86 there rite now. that's where my car is, but the guy was saying that it would cost me prety much the price of a new motor to get that parts, and i'm like WTF? so i think he's going to charge me out the ass for labour. but at least i know he's doing a good job. if anyone knows him personaly, put in a good word for me, so i get a good price on the motor swap . and once again, if i have the silvertop allready, should i just get the parts which will be cheaper? or just get the blacktop. dang it i just don' tknow.

On that note, what would be an acceptable price for labor, for the complete 20V swap?

Luis and Ulysses were the ones who helped me with my 20V swap back in 2001. i can never say anything bad about these guys. they really bent backwards for me (over and over actually). these guys used to have a rally-prep AE86 coupe with a 20V ST. but when we did the swap they just opened their shop so they're not as busy as now. i can't really blame them as their not making enough for an engine swap. their bread and butter are the regular maintenance. and from the years i've known them, they won't cut corners just so you can have a 20V. these guys will only do it the right way.

here's my car at Applewood... i miss chatting with these guys!
