So i was just wondering if anybody knows how similar the corolla 1994 and the 1994 Chevy prizm LSi? I just got one from a relative and suprisingly, it has potential. Are the parts and body kit's pretty much interchangable between the two? I need speed and the Rod Millen Sport touring corolla body kit. Not sure
thanks-
Justin
I would guess that most parts will fit that car cause they are realy the same.I have seen one of those here in Montreal that had a Rodmillen kit but im not sure if he had to do some cutting and fitting.
I've driven both... well a 93 Prism and like similar styled Corollas... I can this ... The Prism doesn't share any body panels with the Corolla. My Grandpa used to drive one of those in NYC.
I would say mechannically they are the same but I don't think the body kit would fit properly.

yeah i got a 2001 prizm and since it has the same engine as a corolla, i wanted to know if anyone knew any thing about tachs. it didn't have one stock and not hving it has cost me a few close races since i have to go by sound. any help with this of any other moderate performance mods would be helpful. i have awarranty and about a zillion sensors so i got to be careful. i have already done the basic intake and exhaust modifications and still am not feeling all the power that i want to be. thanks.-marc prizmpower01@hotmail.com

Ok, a 93-97 Corolla and Prizm share almost all the same parts. I talked to a guy who sells body kits and he said that the 94 Corolla body kit should fit the 94 prizm, without modifications. May just depend on the type of body kit.
2001Prizm, do you want an aftermarket tach, or a tach in your dash? You could use any aftermarket tach, and just splice into the correct wires and it doesn't matter the car. I assume that like the 94, the 01 corolla's dash will fit exactly into the 01 prizm's dash. Best way to get more power is a complete exhaust system.... Headers, cat-back exhaust, hi-flow catalytic converter, maybe new exhaust manifold. Depends how strict the emissions laws are where you live.

Its not how fast your car goes...its how much nerve the driver has to push it that fast.
the fronts won't match up perfectly, but the sides and rear match. taillights don't match, neither do the headlights or front grille. some people have done swaps to Corolla front ends because of body kit issues.
mechanically, they are absolutely identical. that's the beauty of the chevy/toyota partnership...they retain the mechanical parts of the cars, and keep them toyota for reliability.
