Adapters for jack stands on unibody pinch welds?

My car has unibody and I'm affraid to bend/fold the pinch welds at the jack points if I use regular jack stands. OEM jacks are designed with a groove in it in order to fit the pinch weld right in. I know there's floor jack adapters for it (see link), but what I'd really like is adapters for jack stands...

Where can we get such adapters?

I never had problems jacking my car with a regular jack. Tho I did mash the front jack points in when I bottomed out on the supermarket ramp.

Never had a problem either, just keep the stands forward (ie. not halfway down the car).

What are you doing to the car, When ever possible I just put the axel stands on the crossmember.

Ok for the front crossmember... But for the rear crossmember, where are we supposed to place the stands?

Isn't it awkward to place the jack stands on the rear crossmember?

And to place the jack stands to crossmembers don't we have to crawl under the car with only the jack supporting it?

And to get back to the original question, do someone knows about any jack stands adapters for pinch welds on unibody cars? I mean, f***, I'm not the only one dealing about this...

My trueno has a strong flat area just infront of the rear wheels, I usually put the jack under the center of the rear crossmember then put the axel stands just in front of the wheels.

Yeah, well that's my problem. There's no flat area in front of the rear wheels or behind the front wheels. There's a strong point, but it isn't flat... It's a lip (pinch welds), and it seems it can be folded easily.

all I do is jack it up behind the front wheel wells where that soild part is and on the rear I use the one alginment bars bolt points to the body. thats what the mechanic does!

and there should be a flat spot somewhere, not completely flat. Like on my jetta it's a round circle thing that sticks down from the body!

Factory manual says to put jackstands on the jack points. Now you wont be able to do that with the OEM scissor jack, you need a hydraulic jack, because you have to lift the car up from the front crossmember or the rear axle lump. I jacked my car up from mid way from the rocker panel, but I just put a 2x4 wood piece to distribute the weight, no problems, no crumpling.
