rims for fxgt

hey there,
im new to the forum but i have a project fxgt which im fully doing up.
just wondering can you fit 17x7s on it if it has kingsprings or will it rub.

You can probably go with 17s with 205/40-17 tires, but the car will be SLOW due to the size of the tires. Stay with 16x7s, 205/40 or 205/45-16s with 38-43mm offset.

No guys..thee's an SR5 with like 18-19" chrome rims near my place now..bahahaha...after seeing that 17's can't be all that bad.


edit: except the guys SR5 looks like a 4x4 now..and I don't think he can lower it since the wheels fill the entire wheel arch.

17x7 will fit fine as long as you have the right offset, round about 40 will be fine. and they're only 3% bigger than standard so the size is sweet. (thats assuming you go with 205/40's)

Is it an ae92 or ae82?
Just thinking about it I'm not to sure about 7" rims on the rear of a ae82, I'm sure somone has done it though.
